Who is Miss Fluffy Rice?

She is who I want to be. Honestly, she is who we all strive to be. She is the woman who started from a cotton farm and built a honest name for herself in the Oil and Gas industry. She is someone who could walk in a room and it instantly lit up. She was the one you hoped would show up at an event, because you knew you would have a good time. She found the best in people. She loved  a challenge. She was not afraid of failing. She took failure as a lesson. She could tell a story like no one. She loved Jesus. She loved her Family, She loved Carole King and Fleetwood Mac music. She loved fishing in ponds, with wine and friends. She loved traveling. She loved Shrimp.. all minds of Shrimp. I hear Forrest Gump in my head when I think of her. She was not polished, she was real. She did not care what your last name was, or what side of town you lived on. She shopped at second hand clothing stores, drove old cars.  She was driven, a "Pit Bull" at times. She was a terrible cook. She was a beauty queen in more ways than one. She was honest. She was a good listener. She was my Mom. Miss Fluffy Rice... Aka Peggy Case Kerr Worthington.

This blog is a tribute to her life and the daily challenges of mine. She was diagnosed with Cancer in 2016 and met her heavenly Father Jan 24, 2019. She left behind journals of her last two years living with cancer. My Aunt and I have felt the need to share. She was such an amazing woman, that her gratitude and struggles are something we all can relate too.  As I am putting these together, I am flooded with memories and thought I should do the same for my kids one day. Share.
